1890 Swedish Schoolhouse Turned Into A Rustic Home

Swedish Schoolhouse Turned Into A Rustic Home

More and more usual spaces are turned into cozy homes, and nobody can guess what was there before. This Swedish home is made from a schoolhouse of 1890, it was completely renovated by Swedish artist and glass designer Gunnel Sahlin. General bones of the space – floors, windows, ceilings, walls are done to widen the space and make it look bigger, for example, shiny wooden floors in the living room. The style chosen is rustic chic with industrial touches: natural wooden floors in the eating nook and kitchen area combine with industrial lights and shabby chic furniture pieces. The house is very cozy and reminds of the countryside, and a mix of styles is very relaxing.
