This impressive London house was restored from a 19th century building by David Mikhail Architects. They decided to unite two styles of architecture – 19th century style and modern interior design adding a glass covered kitchen and dining room. The main room is of double height to find some space for a library and a stairs. The accent was made on the rough brick on inner and outer walls; the doors and windows are framed with wooden inserts. These materials were chosen to highlight the measures to make the inside and outside a single composition. The earlier design and beauty of the edifice was restored and some fresh modern design was added – that’s a success!
