This stylish curved chair is designed by an Industrial Design student of the University of Cincinnati. Cody Stonerock. He took his inspiration from the nautical world and created this cool furniture object in a mere 10 weeks. Kurven Chair is made of bent plywood, White Oak veneer, and leather. It also features a fiberglass reinforcement. The leather seat can easily be attached or detached from the chair. It’s also backed with a canvas material to prevent stretching. The chair’s design consists of clean lines and wonderful silhouettes from any angle that make it so aesthetically brilliant. The designer even put some photos of the construction process in his Coroflot’s portfolio.

Beautiful chair. I would have only two reservations: the durability of the leather seat, where the leather curves over the wooden frame. Seems reinforcement would be a good idea here to keep the leather from tearing after years of wear. Also, the narrowness of the rear leg makes me worry about stability, but I’d have to sit in it to see what it’s like.
