Casual Concrete House Design With Forest-Inspired Details

Concrete House With Forest Inspired Details

How can you bring forest inside the house? You can make it open to the outside, you can hang some pictures of the woods, or you can do that symbolically – just like Polish Mode:lina Architects did with this home. They decided to leave the concrete elements but add forest details and keep the space as open as possible while having very distinctive areas. A flight of raw concrete stairs goes up the upper floor of the house, and instead of a balustrade there is a book-shelving system that contains the owners growing collection of books. The rooms are kept mostly neutral and essential, and the accents are made more with shapes than with color, and there are lots of natural wood. I also like the chandelier made of a branch and the wooden décor elements that remind of forest structure.
