Modern Dining Tables Of Natural Logs

Modernism and love for nature make the designers create new, unusual shapes and use new materials. The most unusual things are made of a pair of two materials: organic and synthetic. This table is made of resin and logs, real natural logs. Thanks to that, each table is individual because every tree is unlike the others. Designers from mthwoodworks wanted to explore nature’s chaotic moves into contemporary contexts. The sinuous and irregular shapes of the tree base are combined with the inert form and nature of the resin. Each dining table has a piece of wood ranging from 60 to 600 years old. It would be a great piece for any modern and bright dining room or kitchen.

Designer Lucas Martin was inspired by Japanese rock gardens when he created this unusual table. Sweep Table has a top surface which is broken by glass vessels that may be used as containers. Below the top you’ll see a real garden – that’s the base. The table embodies three different materials – wood, glass and metal – they give it harmony. The table top is created from several planks glued together, pieces of which were cut from a single 12 foot white oak board. The blown glass vessels are cut and polished to be parallel to the table’s surface. Minimalism, Eastern philosophy and art in one! Enjoy!

This is probably the most cool ping pong table I’ve ever seen. It’s made of concrete and steel so it’s suitable for constant outdoor use. Besides, it can easily be transformed into a dining table so it’s very practical. The table is made to Ping Pong regulation size, with acid etched lines that will last as long as the table and a smooth surface that provides a great “bounce”. It looks clean, simple, beautiful, and smooth so it won’t spoil the look of your interior too. This is a very thin surface supported by lanky 3-legged base that comes in some angles. The table is manufactured of a steel pipe and a steel sheet, that’s why you needn’t worry – it would hold any subject you put on it. The dimensions are 500 x 350 x 520 mm. Pure minimalism, isn’t it? There’s no unneeded detail in the design and its black color would match any minimalist or futuristic interior. The piece looks unusual and unreal as looking at it at some angles you won’t understand how it keeps the balance.
