All White Interior Design of the Homewares Designer Home

This home belongs to Tine Kjeldsen, owner and designer of homewares brand Tine K Home. It presents itself as country house, located on Funen island near Odense in Denmark. The main interior’s color is white. It allows to create a beautiful space where any furniture object, including the wooden dining table, various cabinets, sideboards, lamps and chairs jump out, anchoring the whole look. Even though there is so much cold colors in the interior it’s still comfy thanks to all wooden objects and other decor elements. The cool thing is that there is no sign of black color anywhere, even though it’s usually the main companion of the white. The house even become the main article of Elle Decoration UK in March 2010.

Modern House Designed to Catch All Views Around It

This beautiful house is designed by Gudmundur Jonsson in the countryside of Iceland. The design’s main purpose is to catch all beautiful views around it in all directions: towards south the view to the sea and islands, towards north the characteristic triangular mountain, towards east the glacier and towards west the river and canyon. The exterior is consist of large glazings, natural wood and stone bricks. That makes the house blends better with the site. The interior is done in modern minimalist style. Contemporary House Filled with Natural Light and Black & White Exterior

This contemporary house is located Candamo, Spain, and designed by OmasC architects. It’s relatively new and was built in 2009. The rural site features enough parking space near by which is connected with the house via stone slabs resting on the ground. The house consists of two pieces joined to one another and serve as day and as night zones. They both features a lot of small windows and transparent sliding doors so the house is filled with natural light all day long. That also provides a possibility to enjoy the nature around not only from the small deck but also from the inside of the house. [OmasC architects]

Rustic White House in Chilean Countryside

Smiljan Radic Clarke is the architect behind this interesting house design in Chilean countryside. It’s built on the large property with old walnut trees. These trees are integrated into its outdoor areas design. The house has large courtyard created between a whitewashed perimetal wall and the house itself. There is large fully glazed wall that open up the interior to the courtyard. The house’s interior is separated for two parts. The first one is a one open room with a kitchen, a dining area and a living room. The second one is devoted to private bedrooms and bathrooms.

Open To Outdoors Horizontal House Plan in Argentine Countryside

This house is located in rural area of Córdoba province in 200km from Argentine’s capitol. It has horizontal plan and basically consist only of a one floor and a roof. Part of the site is covered with concrete to extend it and frame an entrance. The heart of the house is completely glazed, allowing to look through it. Besides that that brings a lot of light and allows to catch calm views of nature without going outside. Wood, concrete, stone and glass are materials that was used in the house’s construction and which integrate it in the site. They also make the place as contemporary looking as comfortable to live. Concrete House Partly Covered with Larch Shingles

House K by Titus Bernhard is an interesting example of the house located on a steep slope in a perfect harmony with landscape around. It’s located about 50km south of Munich within the Bavarian Alps so the landscape is very beautiful and calm. There aren’t big cities in the area but there is a lake that house has views on. The house is build from concrete partly covered with larch shingles. Local materials were mostly used in designing an interior. It become natural and comfy – everything owners might need in such amazing place. Even though the site wasn’t very good for construction, architects managed to make the house big enough. Restoration of Historic Farmhouse from Elizabethan Period

Restoration of this historic farmhouse from Elizabethan period was made in 2004-2005. As the owner claims, renovating buildings of this age is never easy but the results are extremely rewarding. The building has become a modern living space suitable for 21st century.
Park Farm was suffering from a potentially lethal case of rot, due to timbers decaying and other things related to its age. Some of these defective timbers were removed, some replaced and some joints were also added and remade. The interiors has been updated to more contemporary wood materials. The kitchen were made of chestnut and beautiful handcrafted staircase and bathroom furniture were made of walnut. The house has become a very comfortable and beautiful place to live in. [Source]

This home is a quite new development by a large lake. Located within one of the last undeveloped parcels of land on Lake Minnetonka, Locust Hills, this new home blends an old-world aesthetic with materials and a color pallet derived from the client’s native state of Pennsylvania and incorporates several exterior living spaces to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The client wanted to achieve a sense of permanence and look as if the house had been there for a hundred years and thanks to such chose of materials the architect managed to give a life to this idea. Set in eight acres of protected forest above the old Preston sawmill, the 4000 square foot, three-level home is planned for minimum impact on the site, by taking advantage of a small, existing clearing. The exterior is made from rugged stone, concrete, and cedar shingles, with sleeker materials inside. The materials blend perfectly with surroundings and provide to the interior the comfort, coziness and naturalism it needs. Thanks to its size the house has everything owners need when living outside the city. There are many places for relaxing, dining, reading a book and other activities so the life wouldn’t boring in such place. The Desert Retreat Cabin with Modest Budget

This desert retreat is located in Orondo, Washington. With relatively modest budget it occupied 1280 square feet area thanks to great work of SkB Architects. Several goals were achieved during its design. It is modern yet casual, provides both conviviality and solitude, brings outdoors in and is good to both neighbors and the earth. Despite intense sunlight and winds, the shelter was to require minimal maintenance. Mostly natural materials were used in construction as inside as outside. Wood and stone is the great combination which is always about the comfort and coziness and when it is done in simple shapes with straight angles it also becomes very contemporary. [SkB Architects]
