Black-And-White House In A Mix Of Styles

This unusual house was created by architect Yulian Chaplinsky in Moscow, Russia. The interior is a fascinating mix of old Russian style of ‘izba’ – it was a small house of Russian peasants made of rough logs, with French classics. The chosen colors are classical – black and white, they look so contrasting, especially white logs and black lamps. Classical black and white fireplace, the dining room that looks like it was photographed by a black and white camera… The style is unique, you would never find anything like that. I hope that the owners feel comfortable in such a space.

Futuristic Penthouse With Mirror Walls

The designers’ ideas become more and more creative and now Lecarolimited from Berlin present a mirror penthouse. Why mirrors? Because they widen the space. The mirrors of different shapes and sizes create geometric patterns across the partitioning walls of the penthouse apartment, surrounding the kitchen, fireplace and seating areas. Each room is purposed for a different thing; all the mirrors are taken in pieces to create a fantastic futuristic effect; the carpenter worked for many hours to carve the mirrors. The colors used are grey, black and orange. Without orange the space would be too cold. The orange couches are placed along the windows. The furniture in the living room looks like made of stone and the texture is chosen to highlight the stone fireplace. Mirrors create an amazing futuristic effect and some installations and sculptures continue the style line.

Beautiful 19th Century Villa In The Heart of Marocco – Villa Fillali

This beautiful villa was built in the heart of Marocco in the second half of the 19th century. This pearl is called Villa Fillali. It has been restored recently by the famous experts with respect to the culture and all the details. The style is eastern, traditional. Soft fluffy carpets, frescos, mosaic floors and cushions. There is some modern furniture also. The most of the furniture is the work of the local artisans, very exquisite and beautiful. The dark and red shades are also traditional for the East so they are used, too. In such a place anybody would feel an Eastern king, pasha, in an old fairy tale 1000 Nights And One.

Villa With Geometric Forms

Geometry of form is one of the best ways to make the building unusual and attractive. Many architects, for example Antonio Gaudi, a famous Spanish architect, used it. Architects Eva Pfannes and Sylvain Hartenberg from the studio Ooze went further and changed the existing house with the help of geometry. They kind of wrapped the old building with a new skin. Kitchen, new bedrooms and other extra rooms were put between the old villa and its new façade. This house is called The Villa Rotterdam. In the interior the designers reflected the same idea – connection between the old and the new. That’s why you can see some furniture in the antique style in the modern interiors. I think the exterior of the house is really fascinating, isn’t it?

Unusual Wooden Villa Of A Hunting Fan

This unusual villa is located near Moscow, Russia. It’s called a hunter’s place because of the interior design created by Vsevolod Sosenkin. He tried to mix a style of an Italian villa with chalet style and he managed to do that in a very original way. The fireplace is decorated by beautiful ornaments reminding of Renaissance. The living room is also decorated with several moose’s heads and there is a bear’s skin on the floor as hunting is the hobby of the head of the family. The view from all the windows is wonderful and the pool looks like it merges with the surrounding nature. The bedroom are decorated in the style of Provence, France. Thanks to that unusual design the villa has its own face and will impress any guest.

Casa V is a collaboration between Plan B Architects and Mazzanti Architects. The house is located near Bogotá in Colombia on the high slope of the plot and looks like it falls over the site. The main feature of the house is a deck that is located on its roof and a rooftop garden. From these areas owners can enjoy distant views of the wetland and the lake. Both architecture studios have come up with a really interesting solution for this kind of the site.

Modern Houseboat In The Amstel River of Amsterdam

Watervilla De Omval is a 200 square meter houseboat in the Amstel river of Amsterdam. It’s designed by +31 architects in unlike most floating houses a very modern style without losing the characteristic appearance of the typical houseboat. The boat has an open floor plan where everyone can enjoy the views to the water. The distinguished curved line of the facade directly derives from this desire and the restriction that the boat couldn’t be more than three meters above the water. The living area and open kitchen are located on the waterfront. Thanks to that they feature a panoramic view at the Amstel. Following on from the living area and kitchen the bedroom is located on a split level. The split level introduces an open route to the ground floor of the boat. The white plastered walls and ceilings follow the curve of the facade creating a seamless transition from the exterior to the interior.

Kaweah Falls is a modern rustic retreat home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s student Frank Robert. It’s located at the base of the Sequoia National Park, the perfect gataway for nature lovers, hikers, kayakers and so on. It bridges to a private island with a sandy beach and a year round active waterfall. Curved Abstract House in Forest Made of Natural Materials

This curved abstract house is designed by Robert Harvey Oshatz Architects in the woods of Portland, Oregon. It belongs to a music lover so it got some inspiration from the music’s flow. It fits surroundings very well because it mostly made of natural materials. Besides it reminds a really big tree house because the main level is located in the tree canopy. The house evades the mechanics of the camera; it is difficult to capture the way the interior space flows seamlessly through to the exterior. One example is a natural wood ceiling, floating on curved laminated wood beams, passing through a generous glass wall which wraps around the main living room.

Asymmetrical House Design That Consist Of Three A-frames

Allandale House is an A-frame(s) house designed by William O’Brien Jr. It’s a small vacation house with asymmetrical design. It links three horizontal extrusions of “leaning,” or asymmetrical A-frames. The skinny A-frame on the western side contains the library, wine cellar and garage. The wide A-frame in the center of the house is dedicated to two floors of bedrooms and bathrooms. The medium A-frame on the eastern side consists of living, kitchen and dining areas. The house is full of built-in storage. In the widest A-frame a second floor could be found. That was possible only there that’s why it end up in the middle of the whole house. { William O’Brien Jr. }
