Luxury Villa in a Contemporary Neutral Scheme

London’s interior designer, Julia Palmer designed this luxury villa in Mallorca. Besides the 530 square meter house the site features beautiful and other things that make indoor-outdoor relationships better. A contemporary neutral color scheme is used inside and outside of the villa with accents on the artwork & furniture. The scheme also make the house a calm and elegant place to live. The villa has a big room with double heights where the family gets together. A lot of work is done to make the house gets as much natural light as possible. This luxury house has five bedrooms with five baths and designed by HGTV house, Kelly Deck. It has a modern contemporary interior inspired by the natural surroundings and exterior done in grain clear cedar and local blue stone. The main feautres of the house are radiant heat floors, floor to ceiling windows, outdoor patio with fireplace and hot tub, wine cellar, gym, entertainment area, integrated audio system with speakers in key indoor and outdoor rooms and other useful stuff. Floor to ceiling windows not only catch a lot of natural light but also frame a view of the Village, Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and Fissile Peak. The property features a three car garage and and a large area along the side of the house that is quite and protected. Currently the house is listed for sale.

California’s House on the Cliff with Private Beach – Villa Rockledge

This house is one of the greatest treasures of California with one of California’s last private beaches. The property began its life almost a century ago and since that time was a prize gem for Hollywood people. It’s situated on internationally known as a seaside haven for artists, Laguna Beach. The main house features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 9 fireplaces, 2 kitchens, 2 balconies and 2 libraries. Almost every part of this stunning residence is created by hand — from the thick cement foundations and retaining walls to the rustic stone towers, large open oceanside porches and ornamental chimneys. Located in private guarded area called Hidden Hills this house is great example of luxury. The houses exterior design focuses around an amazing pool. Besides the pool there are beautiful ponds, plants, columns, waterfalls, fountains and other things that make surround landscape very beautiful and sophisticated. The house’s interior is designed in traditional style and features open beam ceilings, walnut/limestone floors and designer baths. Besides that there is a gourmet kitchen, steam shover, oversized family room and other rooms that makes the living as cool as possible. A lot of glass is used around the house to catch natural light when that’s possible. Big Contemporary House with Dark Interior Filled with Light

This house is not only big by itself but it also is situated on an 30,000 square foot lot. The location is just a few minutes form Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Brentwood, and Sherman Oaks. It’s interior and exterior is a good example of contemporary design with a little inspiration from Asia. Even though a lot of materials like bamboo flooring inside the house have a dark color, the house doesn’t look moody at all. It’s filled with a lot of natural and artificial light and has an amazing koi pond at the heart of the house. Besides that carefully putted plants in many rooms also adds the space a feeling of comfort. Outside, a manicured and extensive grass-lawn is accompanied by a huge 65ft swimmers pool and grand sandbox for the kids.

This beautiful two story house is situated in Silverlake and has great views of the Angelus Crest mountains and the signature of Hollywood sign. The site is very huge – 18300 square feet. The main feature of the house is its garden. It’s full of exotic plants, fruit trees, eucalyptus trees and mature pine trees. Besides that the courtyard features swimming pool/spa area and the fish pond. Inside the house are 4 bedrooms and 4,5 baths. All house’s rooms has quite high ceilings so the interior is airy and with a lot of natural light. Besides usual rooms like living room and bathroom there are also a gym and a music studio rooms. Some rooms have desks allowing to capture beautiful views of a neighbor, garden and spa area.

Post Modern House Design on Hollywood Hills

This great post modern house has 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath and sits up in the Hollywood Hills, off Mullholland Dr. Its design amazingly use awesome city views around. It also utilizes plenty of “green” technologies like using recycled glass, recycled marble, cork flooring and so on. The entrance to the main level, is through an enclosed private courtyard. The great room is comprised of the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The main feature here is a floating fireplace that could be rotated completely. The kitchen features all possible appliances that could be needed to cook a perfect meal. There is even the B-B-Q on the deck that runs the length of the great room and separate attached office, with built in desk and file cabinets. The lower level has media room completed with a Jacuzzi. There is a central sound system wired throughout the house and outdoor decks. One of the desks also features another Jacuzzi to relax on the fresh air.

Asian Inspired House with Great Indoor-Outdoor Relationship

Birnam Wood Residence in Santa Barbara, California is a design which was born as a combined vision of the architect and the client of living within a village. It’s inspired by travels to Asia and personal connections with Asian culture. A series of pavilions that form the home also give the possibility of the great indoor-outdoor relationship. 5400 square feet are covered by these pavilions. The gardens and pond become an indissoluble part of this home and function as an extension of its living space.
