4500 Square Feet Tropical House on a Very Small Lot But With a Garden

Designed by Rockefeller Partners Architects this house is located off a walk street with great views of the Pacific Ocean and Malibu coastline. Its design is all about a careful space planning. The site is a narrow 30×60-foot area but it includes not only the house but also a garden. This garden is an open green space in the center of the structure at the ground floor level. On one side of this area is a children’s room and a master’s bedroom with a bath. Not only this Zen garden makes the interior to be closer to nature. Unusual Tropical House Design – Leaf House in Brazil

Leaf house is designed by Mareines and Patalano Arquitetura and located near Rio de Janeiro on a beautiful little beach with amazing blue water. Its design is inspired by Brazil’s Indian architecture which is perfectely suited for the hot and humid climate. The roof that reminds a flower acts as a big leaf that protects from the sun all the enclosed spaces of the house. The house is perfect for social gatherings and parties because of its comfortable verandas and open spaces in between rooms. The open layout also takes advantage of trade winds that blow in from the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling. There are no corridors and inside and outside are almost fused. Rain water is harvested from the roof for re-use. With its natural finishes, organic aesthetics and richness of details, the house is in harmony with the exuberant brazilian nature. Stunning Tropical Seafront House on a Small Site

This stunning tropical house is one of those houses that has almost perfect location. It’s overlooking Playa La Isla in Peru and only 5 minutes walk separates it from the beach. The home is designed to connect owners with a beautiful landscape around. Half of it is fully closed from street looks while other one is fully opened to awesome views of the ocean. Besides ground-floor patio there is a rooftop terrace which also fronts the ocean. Even though the house isn’t looks big it features 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms for the owners and guests. The house become a great place not only for holidays but also for living with contemporary needs. The house designed by Juan Carlos Doblado on a very small site of 209 sqm.

Detached From The Ground House In The Canopy Of Trees

This house is located in the beautiful area near Sao Paulo, Brazil. Designed to be a pavilion supported only by five columns, the home has bedrooms, a living room, dining room and balconies facing a pool overlooking the beautiful beach of Guaruja. The house become a great holiday house for a family with two kids who likes to have a guests. Even though the site is really beatiful it wasn’t easiest place for construction. A structural 18m deck above the ground was used as an artificial foundation. Above this deck the whole building is made of metal. The house only has two floors and is accessible from the second one because it’s attached to the street. The first volume features housekeeper’s house, kitchen, service-area, steam bath, gym and four bedrooms. This house is one of those houses that makes architects to be proud of their work. Modern Brazil House with Rooms that Could be Opened or Closed Completely

House 53 is one of the latest works by famous architect Marcio Kogan in São Paulo, Brazil. Like some of his other projects it distinguish by simplicity, comfort and interesting materials combination. The house was conceived as a wood and mortar monolithic block with another concrete and glass volume upon it. Most of rooms with wooden walls could be completely open to get all possible natural light or completely closed to darken the interior. The first floor includes public areas like a living room and a kitchen. The upper floor consists of private areas and offers a panoramic view of the surround landscape. It’s popular in that region to maintain great indoor-outdoor relationship through areas with open terraces and this house isn’t exclusion. [Marcio Kogan]

Beautiful Tropical House Above the Beach

This contemporary one story home is designed by Renato Trotta for a relaxing living near the ocean. It’s situated right above he beach in the oceanfront comunity of Niguel Shores. Of corse like every other house situated so close to Pacific in features beautiful panoramic water and sunset views. In order to capture all than beauty it has dramatic disappearing walls of glass. Even though the house isn’t very big it includes 4 bedroom suites, a study room, media room with built-ins and a kitchen with 18 foot center island. The desk features original fireplace and secluded pool and spa. The house is surrounded by palms and other exotic plans which remind everybody that it’s situated in so awesome tropical place. Currently it’s for sale.

House in Hawaiian Traditions of Basalt Masonry

Designed by Webster Wilson architect, this house on the Hawaiian Islands built with their best traditions of basalt masonry with the light wood customs of floating roofs. Lava masonry walls are quite popular around the island and are made from the local black basalt lava flows. The modern walls interpretation for this house is made of site-cast monumental concrete with basalt aggregate. The open floor plan allows large expanses of glass to capture views of beautiful coastline and lush vegetation. Light wood elements provide the sun protection and privacy as for the house as for its outdoor area. Such design is quite unique for the Hawaiian Islands but not without some common things with other properties. [Webster Wilson]

Dream Tropical House Design in Maui by Pete Bossley Architects

Tropical climate is one of those factors which attracts people who want to have a house of their dreams. This house on Maui, Hawaii is one of those houses. It has great open plan where indoor areas are connected to outdoor areas as much as possible. Thanks to that it takes advantage of the sea breezes to naturally ventilate and cool the interior. The house is composed of five separate buildings, linked by broad covered ways and wrapped around an open courtyard. The pool in the courtyard and many small water canals make it possible to hear water flowing from any outdoor patio or terrace which could be found anywhere on the site. Even though the concept of open-plan living is quite typical for tropical houses this house definitely implements all its advantages. It was designed in build with environmentally sustainable design princeps in mind what is on of the main ideologies of Pete Bossley Architects.

True Weekend Retreat With Minimized Sun’s Impact – Casa Martins Siquiera

Casa Martins Siquiera is designed by quite young Brazil architect Ferederico Zanelato as weekend retreat for himself and his family. It’s situated near São Paulo and became great place to stay when the family need to run away from city’s hustle. Еhis house spreads living over three levels in three distinct zones, minimizes the suns impact and maximizes fantastic views of the Serra do Japi at once. A single open plan wing for the living room, dining and kitchen is connected by a hallway to the rear block of two levels. To the left of the hallway 4 bedrooms are situated. Te services area and private office are took their place to the right of the hallway. This courtyard receives morning sun and cross ventilation through strategic openings, making it a awesome breakfast spot any time a year. Budget friendly materials and smart structure was used, so Ferederico Zanelato managed achieve 510$/m² cost.
