Cowshed House With Open Plan Interiors And Traditional Charm

Barn are an often object of changing into a space to live but cowsheds? Hmm… Have a look at this Cowshed House by Carterwilliamson Architects – they managed no only to create a cool modern interior but also to reserve some of the character and charm of this eclectic neighborhood. Cowshed House owner share a vision for gregarious family life which is reflected in their new home: the spaces are truly ‘open plan’, each room connected to the others and to the sunny, green courtyard. As this was a cowshed, it’s composed from a palette of simple, robust materials; concrete slabs polished as flooring, recycled bricks left as face for the internal walls and the timber structure exposed. A very interesting place!
