Connoisseurs of wine, pay attention! Narcool Cave 55 is an innovative and very functional wine cooler drawer. It’s compact, stylish and minimalist design and innovative modern look. The interior of the cooler is equipped with wire shelves inspired by the egg carton principle. Inside you can arrange the bottles either length ways or across. The two drawers are shock absorbing and fully extendable. They can accommodate 55 standard bottles. The wine cooler features a smoked, UV protective glass door that allows you to see the bottles without having to open the cooler. Moreover, this piece features an adjustable electronic thermostat that allows you to set different temperatures between upper and lower drawers within 8°C to 15°C range. The price is rather high – £2,040 – but a stylish well-equipped wine cooler that received the Award for Design Excellence from Norwegian Design Council is worth it.

Renovated Modern Boathouse Of Natural Wood

Lake houses are always special because the atmosphere on the lake shore is calm and relaxing. This amazing house supports the calming idea thanks to the wood of which it’s built. It’s located on Lake Muskoka, state Ontario, Canada; it’s called Muskoka Boathouse. This is a renovated boathouse of 600 square feet. Christopher Simmonds Architects managed to give the house a very modern look: below the stairs there is a pier, and above everything is done is natural wood: the floor, the ceiling and the walls. The furniture is minimalist and its amount is also minimal; the interior is very simple. Big windows are giving beautiful views of the lake.

Surrealistic Furniture Inspired By Chinese Hieroglyphs

Shao Fan is a designer who managed to mix traditional Chinese art and modern design in his furniture collection, he calls it reconstructive furniture. His chair collection has elements of furniture Min dynasty with modern aesthetics in clear geometric lines. The complicated shape of some of them imitates Chinese hieroglyphs. His furniture looks surrealistic: combinations of thick glass and vintage wood, old rough wood and modern sleek surfaces, crazy shapes and mixes of materials. The author says that it’s fundamental harmony and equity of man and nature. This furniture looks more like installations than like usual pieces of interior. It can be seen in museums of Beijing, New York, Great Britain and Japan.

Pine And Brass Desk in Retro Style

This stylish desk is for those who love retro-chic. Note is a desk of blackened darkness mixed with the brass hardware with a fishbone pattern inside and out. Designer Kristoffer Fagerström created a “black box” that combined the old analogue approach of built-in rulers, hidden magnets and sketchpaper rolls with new functions like USB hubs and power outlets. Gleaming brass fittings referring to the fire used for burning the veneer meet the sooted surface, creating a powerful contrast. The outside is covered with the burned veneer in a fishbone pattern, and when you open the desk, the inside is covered with the finest selection of golden pine in the same pattern. Such a desk is an amazing example of vintage furniture with the most contemporary functions.
