Known as Solis, the Hamilton Island house was designed by Renato D’Ettorre Architects. Solis was created from concrete, stone, block work and glass resulting in a succession of dramatic volumes incorporating aerial living spaces and private roofed outdoor zones.

The residence is an open living and environmentally integrated home on Hamilton Island, built to withstand the destructive forces of tropical cyclones. Swimming pools, reflection ponds and strategically positioned trickling waterfalls are laid out both indoors and outdoors. Cut into the hill, an open living platform is separated by another reflection pond, while floating above the sea and further living spaces below.

The interior spaces and outdoors merge in one when all the glass doors are opened, that’s why the interiors are decorated in modern style to perfectly fit the outdoor décor. Sleek surfaces, angles and simple décor are spruced up with textures. I like colorful textiles: orange, dark purple, red, green and yellow that remind of the tropics.

There are several lounge zones in different parts of the house and terraces and ponds right on the roofs, which is unusual and inviting. Such elevated terraces get the full views of the ocean around, and lounge zones seem to invite to stay there and lie on the cushions.

The house is perfect for spending your vacation or holidays there, it offers fantastic relaxation both with its ponds and ocean views. The house is a unique zone that allows you merging with the nature outside and feel relaxed like nowhere else.
