Skylab Architecture built this incredibly angular home in Portland Oregon. The cantilevered portion of the house ads some serious drama and interest. The home feels sort of like a super modern treehouse with some of the most iconic design pieces inside. Let’s have a closer look at it.
One of the main features of the interiors is stunning and relaxing woodland views that are incorporated into the décor of every room with large fully glazed walls – what can be better to enjoy that view? Some spaces, like the kitchen, are completely glazed. The extensive use of warm-colored wood throughout the house makes it very inviting and chic.
My favorite space here is the home office. It features white shelves that cover the whole wall, natural cabinets and a tabletop that seems to be a continuation of these cabinets. But the main design feature here is a unique geometric cutout with a skylight – it’s not your usual window! Such a space is very inspiring, gorgeous and working here must be amazing!
The master bathroom has a cool view, too! There’s a large shower space clad with grey tiles, and there’s a cool glazed wall with a skylight – dipping into nature is easier with such a design idea, and it looks very unusual.
The living room, dining space and kitchen comprise one open layout but the dining and living spaces are separated with fireplace wall with a TV. I love the idea of making a concrete kitchen island combined with a breakfast table, it’s a modern and very practical idea. Get more photos of this amazing house below!
