It looks great but given a choice I would go for a traditional mountain house, improved over generations to provide the right shelter in harsh winter weather, view and light.
I would not serve alcoholic drinks at a party in that house.

ALPINE VISTAS! Sunken block Home is situated perfectly within the mountains of Switzerland. The home echoes the landscape behind with its lines and colors. Check out that hardwood ceiling! The heartwood tongue and groove pattern lends itself to the soft nature if the interior design.

From Page: "This unique house in Switzerland was inspired by the mountain which dominates the site at the north. Material, form and color were the only source of design inspiration. The house is a block placed inclined to the ground. The slopping sides of the roof imitate east and west flanks of the mountain. Even though the house frame is made of wood it is painted in gray color which is very similar to natural stone color. The color is the thing that contrasts to surround vineyards the most. The interior is done in very simple but natural style. Some walls are made of almost raw stone what in addition to wooden insertions create comfortable environment. The house is designed by Nunatak Architectes."

actually this to me is the lesser of many evils. though of course the human being who lives here is simply as usual considered by the egocentric designer as an intruder (why not make the window follow the stairs so you could stand at any height and enjoy the beautiful view? because that would spoil the much more important exterior aesthetic [:-D]), there is, as others have noticed, actually a point to this. the fact that, if not deferring, the design at least REFERS to the natural shapes around it is something.
and the spaces are sufficiently harmoniously shaped, and the windows plentiful enough, to make this house quite liveable, if you had shiploads of money to heat it.
but what an amazing site. i think i could bear to be their neighbour, if they were the sorts of ppl who'd come over for a cup of sugar when in need, if they were the kind of ppl who'd in fact do such homelike things bake cakes.

The interior is great but from the outside it jars my vision. Too much straight lines; that are not relative to the site. That's design just meant to be extreme. I couldn't be an architect and be proud of that. It's only screaming for screaming sake!!!@@!!!
