Scandi homes are getting more and more creative, and this house is one of them, it’s called Apelle by Marco Casagrande. The house resembles a boat from the outside, and the inside reminds of the same. The residence is nestled between rocks and plants for a perfect fit. I love the white washed wood inside, scuttlers; there is a sleeping loft space up on the top level, while the lower area is all open and up to interpretation. The interior is well balanced with linear and organic forms – porthole style windows and cylindrical forms break up the otherwise lengthwise architecture. The fireplace zone is highlighted with black color though the most finishes are quite neutral. Kind of a boat left in the wood, ha?
