Letterbox house isn’t first experimental house design by McBride Charles Ryan architects. They are one of extraordinary Australian teams which always could surprise people with interesting house shapes and interior designs. Letterbox house is constructed on 290 sqm area with anything but flat landscape. House exterior looks like it has been turned inside out. That is achieved by smart using of materials and by changing usual houses shapes. There is a lot of space near the house which make spending time outdoors very comfortable.

The interior of the house is more normal than exterior but there are non-standard things too. Interior designers not often use bright red with natural wood. Red color is usually could be seen in modern interiors and wood in more traditional ones. Although here they are combined and that add an interesting touch to overall interior impression. It’s very comfy and such elements like red shelves make it also quite unusual. [Via Archdaily]

Definitely a unique look. It seems to be quite bright inside even though it doesn’t look like there are that many windows on the outside.

    Nice unique design…
