Luxurious Gabriel Chandelier Inspired By The Baroque Art

This chandelier is a pure artwork, it’s Gabriel chandelier, created by Paris designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. It was designed to be installed at the Château de Versailles and hang over the Gabriel Staircase at the main entrance to the palace. The material chosen was crystal and the piece was manufactured by crystal brand Swarovski. Why crystal? Because this material was traditionally used in the making of chandeliers for ceremonial rooms, in order to establish a strong link between the past and the present. The chandelier is a 12-metre-high installation comprises 800 crystal modules threaded around a stainless steel skeleton containing an LED lighting system. It’s kind of a link between the baroque of the Versailles and the modern art.
