This pavilion is one of those things that a lot of people want have near their home. It is the place to sit quietly without other people near by and observe surrounding beauty and the nature. The nature includes not only woods around but also the lake which is also great to observe. The pavilion composed of a curved brick wall, a wood-framed roof and a platform suspended above the water. A Rumford fireplace marks the center of the pavilion and a bench wraps the other three sides. Down filled pillows are scattered along the bench. A Shaker table is set in the center. The aromatic cedar provides warmth and the feeling of Nature. This building provides a sensorial experience that lifts the spirit and transcends the mundane, resulting is a sense of stillness that is at once poetic and exhilarating. Such place is great for those who wants to bring their thoughts together. [David Coleman Architecture]
