Modern Loft With Industrial Touches In A Former Warehouse

Making industrial spaces living ones is a hot trend today, and following the trend Schappacher White Architecture renovated an American Express warehouse into a cool modern Hudson loft. The architects transferred the main characteristics of the building to the loft by using materials and inspiration from the warehouse – chemically aged steel wall panels, steel baseboards or custom aged lighting fixtures. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and features wall treatments which the architects call “liquid metal wall” because it can change its appearance as the light shifts. The interior on the whole is modern, full of light and cool designer lights and furniture; there are lots of industrial touches but still the space looks cozy.
