Modern Pop-Art House Close To Nature

Tue, Jul 26, 2011 | Modern home designs | By Kate

This house was built in Odense, Sweden, for a young couple with a kid. It’s built on a hill not far from the centre of the city, on the lake shore. The interior is modern, bright and fresh, with some art works. The house is very open to the nature due to big windows. There is a nice terrace outside. The design is not traditional for Scandinavia but it’s modern and a little bit pop-art. A good solution is a photo wall in the bathroom with palm and sea. It helps to feel warmth despite of cold Swedish winters and autumns. Natural wood is used everywhere throughout the house. A great idea was to let the owners’ daughter paint the lamps. They became funny hand painted and the kid needn’t draw on the walls as kids often do.

Just for reference, Odense is located in Denmark, not Sweden… ; )

  1. Modern House Interior To Merge With Nature | DigsDigs Says:

[...] Advertisement This beautiful modern house is built in Canada by the architecture studio Keith Baker. There are 3 bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms and many service rooms. The interior is modern; it’s based on the contrast of white walls and natural wood. There’s a touch of country style in the beams on the ceiling. As the house is located in a very beautiful place and there are no neighbors close to it, the interior is opened to nature. There are big windows to maximize the fantastic view, a terrace to take sun baths and a patio to enjoy a meal outside with friends. Slim glossy finishes and strict lines give a modern look while coziness is achieved by the natural wood and simple furniture. The house is an amazing place to have a rest with the friends and enjoy the nature. [...]
