i really, really hate those slot windows.

i had a housemate once who used to enjoy feeding a handful of dog biscuits to a dog, one - very - small treat - at - a - time, while the dog was made to sit and beg. if it had been me, i'd just have held out my open hand and offered them all, or put them in a bowl. but no, this person wanted to be seen by the dog to be god for 5 minutes. that is the ungenerous, despotic mentality of the designers of these frigging slot windows. they want you to crouch down and contort yourself for the view. they want to ration the view, to make it meagre. they want houses to be prisons. and they love ugliness and disharmony of proportion. they think it's uncompromising and clever. they want to make statements, let us know that they, THEY control was we will see. for the rest of our existence in that building.

if i were the client, i'd hire someone without such an infantile ego.
abundance. i prefer freedom and abundance.
