Not only Germany’s architects build great futuristic houses but Japanese too. If in Germany architects specialize in a futuristic house exteriors which has shapes and colors which we could see in movies, in Japan they specialize in interiors. Although Japanese house exteriors are anything but classic they doesn’t look like houses we see in futuristic movies.

This house designed by TeradaDesign architects is located in Tokorozawa. It looks like black dot with total area of 170m² with frame made of steel and wood. The house is private residence which has green interior which looks like space ship interior. Everything is minimalist but in addition to white, green makes it colorful. The house is one more great example how works of Japanese architects differ from other architects works. [TeradaDesign]

This is so cool because references to the past are kept to a minimum. To have human comfort not anchored in antiques, traditional trappings, textures, lighting etc. and not be faddish or trendy is quite remarkable.
And they did it without extreme, outlandish shapes.
