Traditional Home With Vintage Touches From A Library

Changing a library into a private home is a very interesting solution but the designers of this house in Portland definitely succeeded. Given the history of the building, its architecture and internal distribution were a little unusual for a home. The designers decided to keep most of the original elements: they preserved the big open space and decided to turn into a great room with kitchen, dining and living areas. They also added some new elements like a sauna, a laundry room, an exercise room, a garage and a recording studio in the basement. The style chosen is mainly traditional with vintage touches but due to the black and white color scheme it looks so modern! I love it!
