1800s Rough Stone House Renovation

1800s Rough Stone House Renovation

The original house of 1800s was built here, in Chamoson, Switzerland, and renovated by Savioz Fabrizzi Architecte into a completely modern space. The genuine rocky surface makes the project perfectly blend in the natural surroundings, that’s why the architects decided to leave as it is, just reinforce and emphasize it using concrete for the parts to be replaced. There were added some sustainable details like solar panels on the roof to produce some energy for heating; some natural materials from the site were also used in building. The interior having concrete walls and some rough stone setting is absolutely minimalist, with colorful and simple furniture and much light. The renovation turned out to be very successful!
