Many spaces and homes seem to look a bit too usual and mainstream, they seem to lack personality. How to add it? Nothing personalizes a home more than hobbies, passions and things we love reflected in its interior. Such elements add character to the space and look charming, and the dwelling we are sharing today features exactly such solutions.
The whole design of this Taiwan apartment is inspired by the owners’ favorite subjects and passions. As they love cycling and reading, you may see a series of floating shelves in the living room which hold books, collectibles as well as a bike. I must say that a bike rack looks really natural, it’s perfectly integrated into the decor. The owners also like handcrafted elements, so the designers added pieces that show artisanal beauty.
The interior decor is modern, I’d say minimalist, it’s very harmonious and even fluid. The main space is an open layout of a kitchen, living room and a dining space in the kitchen. The color palette is neutral, and the materials are rather simple. The quirky touches like a bike and some shelves add an interesting touch to the interior, so it doesn’t look mainstream.
The social spaces are all connected and form an open plan volume with crisp background walls, tiled flooring and the occasional industrial metal and rustic wood accents. The bedroom is a separate space. It has this minimalist wall unit, wooden flooring and a decor that’s still simple and yet really cozy and comfortable.
