Contrasting things that loo harmonious together always attract attention: black and white, fire and water, wood and stone. MIKA 350 pendant lamp by the A\STUDIO was inspired Galician architectural tradition, and the materials chosen – granite and wood – are very traditional for Galicia and so contrasting. It’s a new interpretation of the classic industrial lamp playing on contrasts: granite and wood, classic and modern, domestic and industrial. There are four types of wood employed in the development of the lamp: “Silvestre” oak, chestnut, sucupira and afzelia. The design seems to be simple but it’s so eye-catching and stylish that any modern or industrial retreat will be complimented with such lights.
