Cool Lounge Made With A Traditional Upholstery Technique

Capitonnage is the hand tufting process that is handed down from generation to generation. Using this traditional upholstery technique, Studio Dafi Reis Doron takes it to an unusual level by using wood beams instead of the typical buttons. Lignes de Capiton is a lounge sofa that found an alternative method that not only pins down the fabric, it creates an alternating linear pattern to what could have been just a flat surface. With wood being one of the most prominent materials used in furniture, it’s only fitting that it was used to replace the buttons. The piece is ideal for any modern space, enjoy the pics below!
