Homes can be unique, eye-catching and mix and match various styles without any effort, such homes really have a character. Today’s house is one of such spaces, it’s modern eclectic Dutch home.
Utterly smitten with the beautiful Amsterdam home of artist Jasper Krabbé — a perfect mix of vintage pieces, finds from travels in Morocco and India, and a lot of really great art. Artistic people always turn their homes into very creative and chic spaces like no other, some of them even make them look like pieces of art, and this home is no exception.
The owner mixed shabby chic, industrial styles with creative and refined items. The living room features two artworks that take a whole wall each, and these two works set the style and mood – grunge style with shabby chic touches. The furniture is vintage and shabby chic: a sofa, chairs and the fireplace painted black. Bold textiles and leather chairs make the space look more outstanding. The fireplace is the focal point: it’s black, sophisticated and with a vintage mirror over it.
The dining space is also done in vintage and shabby chic style. Rustic wooden floors and a wooden table, various different chairs look cool and are perfectly mix and matched. Industrial lamps, a vintage fireplace and large mirror make the area eclectic. A gallery wall and some owner’s artworks make the dining room more personalized.
The kitchen features sleek black surfaces, natural wood cabinets, industrial lamps and wooden floor. The space is light-filled and cozy, stainless steel appliances make the kitchen more modern.
The bedroom also features a fireplace in black, bold textiles, a leather chair, oversized artworks by the owner, it’s laid-back and comforting.
