6 Modern And Functional Nightstands To Buy Now

modern and functional nightstands to buy now

Most of bedrooms need nightstands to store some small things like glasses, a book, a phone and other stuff like that, which most of us need. If you are looking for a comfy bedside table and can’t find a proper one, don’t worry, we’ve prepared a whole bunch of cool modern ones that you can buy right now. Most of them match your modern bedroom decor, plus they bring functionality, for example, lots of comfy storage. Interested? Let’s get started!

At first glance, Misko by Heim Evgi looks like your average bedside drawer table, minimal and well-balanced. But then, when you find out the functions – you just can’t help asking ‘Why didn’t anybody think of that before?’. An internal LED shines bright from within, illuminating the translucent top and peeking through the handle space. Combining these two functions keeps your bedroom space uncluttered but just as bright – a lamp and a nightstand in one, isn’t that smart? I also like the modern design with kind of minimalist feel which is suitable for many bedrooms.

The Floating Shelf, from Spanish design studio Oitenta, is quite simple but it packs a mean punch. The wooden shelf is designed to hang on the wall over an outlet so that you can also use it as a charging station for all of your devices. The top surface is big enough to hold a clock, a plant, or a book, so you can use it as a nightstand if you’d like or as a wall shelf for decorative items. The door on the front opens up to reveal the outlet and storage space for your cables and chargers, which can be contained with the elastic band. A magnetic lock keeps the door closed.

The Yeh Wall Table by Taiwan-based designer Kenyon Yeh for Danish design brand menu’s 2014 collection is a two-legged leaning side piece. The design comes in a flatpack assemblage of components with its surface and leg separated, making it easy to install. Made from powder coated steel and tube, its circular tabletop folds at a right angle to a point that clings onto the wall, preventing it from toppling over.

The wall space in our homes isn’t often used very well, that’s why Pippin is aimed at utilizing this space, especially the bedside space when you don’t have a functional pegboard with storage. By adjusting the height of the rails and the choice of products, you can create your own piece to assist the common activities of that area – for example, to store books, a nightlight or else. There’s a wide choice of materials but the whole line is unified through the details and color. The style is perfectly minimalist, nothing unnecessary and it will match almost any modern interior, it’s a great space-saving idea!
