Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid was a famous Iraqi-British architect. She got many rewards and her calling card was ultra-modern futuristic architecture and designs, and everyone who knows at least a bit about the architecture world, knows something about her. Unfortunately, Dame Hadid passed away in 2016 and her Miami home was featured for sale. Let’s take a look at this unique dwelling.
Located in Miami’s south beach, it’s a three-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment, which was her latest residence, where she used to live while working on the soon-to-be-completed one thousand museum skyscraper in the same city. The stunningly curvaceous southeast corner apartment was refurbished by Zaha Hadid herself, who bought two separate units for $4 million and combined them. Floor-to-ceiling windows open directly to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing a great amount of natural light to bathe the property.
The principal features of Zaha Hadid’s design are present in her home: ultra-minimalist and ultra-modern materials, curves and futuristic and sculptural touches. There’s extensive glazing to fill in much natural light and enjoy the views, and an entrance to a large terrace with a dining space. The bedrooms look very welcoming, they are all-white with adorable views and much natural light. The owners may enter the terrace from these bedrooms, too. One of the bathrooms is fully clad with white marble and glass. Take a look at the amazing spaces below and get inspired by the fantastic work of Dame Hadid!
