Owl Creek Residence by Skylab is a Colorado retreat that will strike you with its architecture at once: there’s a triangular floor plan to allow optimum views of the region’s mountainous landscape.
First of all, you just enjoy looking at is a gorgeous terrace in front of the house, and everything here echoes with the triangular shape of the house itself. There’s a triangular bench, a triangular fire pit and a couple of chairs. A little bit further you’ll see a triangular-shaped pool with a couple of benches – stylish geometry is personal feature of this home.
There are five bedrooms on the lower level, which are laid out along a corridor that follows the V-shaped outline of the plan. Compact and efficient private sleeping wings open up to expansive outdoor views at the lower level. This storey also includes amenities such as a steam room and hot tub. A short flight of stairs provides access to the home’s communal spaces, which are enclosed by two floor-to-ceiling glass walls that form the tip of the triangular plan.
The structure frames powerful views through two principal façades, maximizing the visual connection to the landscape at every angle. The spaces on the upper level are meant for entertaining, and include an open-concept living and dining room, a den, and kitchen.
The indoor decor resembles much of outdoors: there’s much wood, stone and metal that tie indoors and outdoors together. You may see many eye-catchy lamps that add a stylish statement to the spaces.
