This modern and light-hearted apartment is located in New York. The owners wanted a comfortable home that was stylish without being fussy, and they got it!
The living room strikes with an oversized mirrored mantle, which is a centerpiece and visually expands the room at the same time reflecting the light that is coming from the large windows. A copper bar stand polishes the look of the room.
The designer loves creating contrast and a statement, so the black accent wall in the master bedroom was a way to do that without being over the top. All the rest of the room is done in calm tones to make the room more peaceful. The bird leg lamp table here is another touch of humor from the designer, and the warm-colored wooden cabinets make the bedroom cozier.
Exposed brick was a cool element in in the kitchen, it gives character and charm to the space making it a bit industrial. There is a range of mirror of various sizes to make it even more original. I’m amazed by the sideboard in the dining area, it’s kinda super old with a patina finish that looks so contrasting comparing to the rest of the interior.
The designer added some bold touches here and there, look at the black bathroom wall with funny fish print, it’s so whimsy! And the soft pink door continues the theme of this fun bathroom. I also love the home office done in dazzling blue, with an original chandelier and a 3D wall art.
Soft minty color of the ceiling in the corridor created a peaceful transition from the living/dining/kitchen area to the bedrooms. The owner didn’t want to put art on the walls and keep this area free of additional decorations so it is a fun way for it to still feel designed, but calm.
