Iris is a swinging chair made of metal painted pink and 600 of nylon bands, that all gives it a crazy look
If you want a bit of color for your space, if you are looking for crazy and daring designs, this chair is right what you need. Copenhagen-based cabinetmaker Kevin Hviid, in collaboration with GANNI, presents his colorful three meter high hanging couch in an effort to promote positive human interactions in any shared space, both indoors and outdoors. Iris, Hviid’s project, is developed around an iron structure and 600 manually installed multi-colored nylon bands with a focus on strings and lines.
Kevin Hviid’s project for Ganni is a piece of furniture with curves, character and sharp elbows. Iris’ ‘skirts’ swings and sways as it brings one, two or more people back and forth in its arms. Additionally, the chair offers room and time for reflection by providing a sheltered intimate space for user.
Such a piece will be a creative solution for any space, both indoors and outdoors – for your living room, for your backyard and many public spaces, too, and its look is sure to attract everybody’s attention!
Its bold colors and a pink frame is sure to raise everybody's mood, and both adults and kids will be delighted
