There are some wonderful ideas and extremely contemporary designs here. However functionality and safety seems to have gone astray in picture seven where a flat screen tv his been mounted so close to a gel fire.
Despite the fact that the featured fire does not have a high radient heat output, I think it would have a significant detrimental effect on the lifespan of the TV.
It always seems a good idea to merge two focal points of the room together. But unfortunately, practicality should win over design and TV’s should never be mounted above a fire.

Can you tell me where I can find a 3 sided fireplace like the one shown in the second photograph? I love the fact that it’s completely frameless. Every other 3 sided fireplace I’ve come across has frames along the corners.

What is the name for fireplaces that are suspended from the ceiling and do not touch the floor? Where can I find one?
