Even More Modern Panton Chair Renovation by Chris Bosse

Lava Digital Panton Chair

Chris Bosse from LAVA architecture firm, has prepared a great renovation of the famous 1967s Panton Chair for the ‘Re-loved’ exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. The shape of the chair become iconic and anticipated the digital revolution by 30 years. It’s the first freeform, organic molded piece of furniture. The renovated chair mimic the shape and looks like it consist of many slices. “The chair is metaphorically and physically carved out of a sliced box”, says Bosse. It is on display from 31 July – 30 September 2010 during this year’s Sydney Design Festival.
