How To Design 40 Square Meter Apartment Comfy

This apartment has only 40 square meters of living space but it’s still very comfy and cozy. Before the renovation it was a open space with a one multi-purpose room. That room wasn’t zoned well but owners and a designer have managed to changed that. Now we can learn from their work.
The best way of zoning is color. It’s really cool when one color can be found in different parts of the room but in various proportions. At this apartment the brightest part is the dining area. Its walls are colored in purple. As you can see the carpet in a kitchen, some upholstery and some small details in a bedroom and a bathroom share this color. The kitchen is separated from the dining room with a sliding partition that doesn’t occupy any space but makes the excellent zoning job. The similar partition separates the bedroom with the living room. Cabinets in the living room have a large glazing area and looks almost weightless. That makes the whole structure looks like simple shelves but there isn’t any dust on books and other side inside.
Implement all these ideas if you have a small living space and it will looks much more better. Besides it will become more cozy and comfy. What else do you need?

I love these apartments and was wondering if you could help me design layout for mine as its similar size.the living / dining is only9.6 feet wide and 14. 6 . As you enter on the far right thro tiny hall is the only long uninterupted wall. facing is patio doors which is 9 feet 6.then 7 ft opening on left which has tiny open plan galley kitchen, leads to bedroom and bathroom.finally remainder of that wall is 7feet 6 and 6 ft wall back to entrance. I cannot find suitable layout as tv is either too near or wrong angle. Basically I have 3 entrances on the diagonal !

I love this apartment design and I wish I could afford a designer for my studio apartment. That’s the problem with the Philippines. Most condominium designers keep putting up walls after walls after walls in small spaces! Its frustrating to redecorate since it always costs a lot of money.
It doesn’t help that we don’t have access to nice affordable furniture stores and the more affordable ones are as ugly and badly designed.

Greetings, I really like your designs and ideas for decorating small appartments! Maybe you could help me with mine, it is also about 30 square meters large, with a small separated kitchen right by the entrance. So, when you pass the kitchen, you have about 18 square meters large room with balcony door at the end. Room is facing west, so there is no too much light, that’s why I was thinking about painting it into warm colors, such as yellow or orange.. I would like to separate bed from the rest of the living space but I’m not sure if it is a good idea considering really small space. Or maybe buy a couch which would be used as a bad at night.. Any suggestions are appriciated
