Minimalist Zeppelin Sofa Inspired By Iconic Airships

Fri, Jan 31, 2014 | Sofa | By Kate

A Zeppelin is a type of rigid airship pioneered by the German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin in the early 20th century, and this original Zeppelin Sofa by Aleksandr Mukomelov takes its visual direction from Ferdinand von Zeppelin’s iconic airships. I can’t say it looks like it but the design is minimalist, it looks light as air, it’s fabric-covered, with a soft lining, so the idea was realized very well. The color is, of course, white, just like a real Zeppelin – just imagine this sofa in your living room – it will definitely make a statement! The Ukrainian designer created a really original piece!
