Pb Elemental Architecture is the company which designed this beautiful modern house with many limitations. First of all the budget was very tight but the clients family was large and still growing. The site is only 1600 square foot although the Elemental Architecture managed to fit everything needed on it. The house includes four bedrooms, two baths, an open kitchen, dining and living areas, an entry corridor, a utilities area, a large storage room and an accessory dwelling unit with a full kitchen, bath, laundry and closet. In the end the building footprint is only 790 square feet with building cost of $167/sf and beautiful modern interior design. [Pb Elemental Architecture]

Perhaps it’s my error but I’m seeing this home, not the lot, listed as being 1600sf on the Pb Elemental website. It’s a 3bd/2.5ba (not a 4bd), which I think would be difficult to fit in to 790sf.
From what source are you getting the 790 number?

Oh my mistake. I was reading it wrong (footprint!). I blame it on the iPhone and my bad eyes.
Cheers.

More crap from Seattle’s most redundant firm. So sad, they do good work, unfortunately everything looks the same.

Sounds like “What everyone is thinking” is jealous. Perhaps an employee who was fired for having a bad attitude?

don’t get me wrong this house looks expensive and unique. but how can it count as a “home” its so unatural to live in, and although moderism is minimalistic i just think living in a house like this would be so uncomfortable and dull (looks like a prison from the outside). Also these houses will date so quickly and the outside will look so tacky after a few years when the “white” panals discolour and turn an old off grey. and what family wants the public to see everything in there house at night when all the lights are on (shown in the picture above) !!

I like this home. I would like to see the floor plan, and get prices on the blueprints and such. Could you help me with that? Thank you!
