Chaand lamp is designed by Tahir Mahmood for Caviar20, company that focuses mostly on high-end vintage furniture. The sculptural and snazzy lamp become a contemporary object that in the same time has a mild retro allusion. It is created of sustainable materials. The body is made of Dalbergia Sissoo wood (native to the Indian Subcontinent, often referred to as “Indian Rosewood”) and the lacquered sections are made from a sap-based resin and applied with palm leaves. Its linen shade with this wooden body is a perfect combination of natural textures that is capable to make any room more cozy and comfortable. Chaand lamp has already become a part of the Toronto’s Interior Design Show 2011.
