This 75 square meter two-bedroom house is an another small house on the Isle of Skye done by Rural Design. Its budget was around £115,000. It’s timber clad with a corrugated roof, the industrial aesthetic follows through to the inside with a polished concrete floor, exposed structure and sawn timber linings on the walls and ceilings. Bedrooms and other spaces are accessed via a central living space, keeping circulation areas to a minimum, to make the most of the building’s small footprint. Large openings have been cut into the walls to make the most of dramatic views of surrounding landscape.
