Brick House – Rocky Slope Residence by Eddie Jones

Rocky Slope Great House Masonry

Architect Eddie Jones from Jones Studio has designed buildings in deserts areas for a long time. This house embedded in the southern edge of the Phoenix South Mountain Preserve gets its inspiration from the Sonorah Desert. Its front door is cul-de-sac of metropolitan Phoenix subdivision while its back is the beginning of clean nature. The house form is a result of the respect to natural sloping topography of the site. Almost whole house made of bricks and earned Gold Trowel Award for Excellence in Masonry by Arizona Masonry Guild. Windows around the house are from floor to ceiling and capture all light that possible. [Jones Studio]
