With DIY culture on the rise, Israeli designer Ningal created a pair of open source chairs that allow you to build them at home. FABrics chairs were designed so they could be manufactured locally, anywhere in the world, by the user as their very own DIY project. Both lounge chairs are made with a birch plywood frame, along with a leather seat and backrest, which are held in place with 3D printed rivets. Each part can be customized to the user’s preferences, like the wood finish, the type of leather, and the color of the rivets. Once all the parts are fabricated, it only takes some basic woodworking skills to assemble it.
