Scandinavian style fans, here we go! This 55 square meter apartment in Amsterdam is a dream home done in this style, it’s Nordic at its best. Ready to see that all? Let’s start!

This dwelling was designed by the owners themselves as one of them is an interior designer. The main advantage of this apartment is the abundance of natural light and a magnificent panorama of the city that can be seen from any window. The color palette chosen was a restraint one: black, grey and white and lots of natural wood, there are no bright splashes of color but the interiors are made more interesting with textures – wood and metal add a rustic and industrial feel at the same time.

The living room was done with a large sectional sofa, some shelves and a dining zone; some furnishings are industrial, with reclaimed wood and metal pipes. There are no artworks, only black and white postcards, which can be changed every day if the owners need – it’ a very creative approach to usual art pieces. Some of furniture was DIYed by the owners, and some items were from IKEA – I bet you can recognize them.

The kitchen is a duo of graphite and white, it’s enlivened with patterns on the cutting boards. There are interesting cabinets with semi sheer glass inserts, which also add to the look of the kitchen. The bedroom features some vintage touches: shabby chic bedside tables, a bed, a wardrobe, a shelf over the bed; the headboard wall is accented with interesting wallpaper that reminds of newspaper. The bedroom also serves as a home office. To accommodate a small work space for two, the owners chose a compact desktop with the same compact shelves, and the handicraft items were put in a large paper bag. Steal some creative ideas from this home!
