Today I’m sharing the calm elegance of London-based fashion designer Anna Valentine’s apartment/studio. The space is calm and peaceful, with serene interiors and a strong Scandinavian feel.
High ceilings make the apartment feel very spacious, and lots of natural light helped with that, too. The living room features white walls and wooden floors clad in a chevron pattern. There’s a large fireplace and lots of firewood stacked in a wall niche next to it. The furniture is modern: a black leather sofa, a brown leather chair, some cute wooden coffee tables and a wicker chair. A basket with branches adds a cute rustic touch, and a musical instrument becomes a part of the décor.
The kitchen with a dining space are united, and filled with light from the balcony. The cabinets are white, the kitchen backsplash is of white marble – the designer decided to play with textures and not with colors. The dining set is made of light-colored wood.
The bedroom is serene and calm. The white radiator doubles as a storage surface; the bed is also white and soft. There’s much light here and you can see a whole combo of graphic artworks on the wall. There’s a cute corner by the window – with a vintage table, stools and an apothecary cabinet, and I bet that the designer works there sometimes when she needs inspiration because the view is awesome there.
The apartment is serene and inspiring, it’s not only a great place to live in, it’s a cool workspace, too! Look at the pictures below to get inspired!
