More and more creative pendant lamps appear, and today we are sharing one of them. It’s Trapeze by German designer Jette Scheib.

It’s an aerialist-shaped lighting model combining grace and style fixed in a single pose with endless possibilities. The solitary object can be extended to a group by connecting the lamp with one, two or more. The construction allows the user to combine uplight and downlight at the same time.

A circus trapeze was a source of inspiration. In the circus you see single trapeze artists but also artists, connecting their trapezes to each other for a group performance. Creating the lamp, the designer did the same: he developed a system that allows you to use a single trapeze or add as many trapezes to it as you like, to create various formations and atmospheres.

Trapeze is a lamp that you move with your own hands like one of these beautiful industrial machines from the early 1920’s. It is a beautiful and plain light-machine that invites you to work with it.
