The renovation of this 4 story townhouse in center Park Slope is one of the first projects by The Brooklyn Home Company. It’s a great example how cool could be combination of vintage and modern elements in the one interior. The main color theme in this interior is a combination of white and natural wood of different hues. It works very well and everything looks very cosy and livable. The home is flooded with natural light through double hung windows. The interior also features such interesting things as sculptures by Fitzhugh Karol, a lot of built-ins and custom work, rough wood shelves and doors, and so on. { The Brooklyn Home Company }

    It’s lovely and all, but I wouldn’t describe it as cozy. I would be afraid to touch anything… but then again, I have been known to be the bull inside the china shop.

    Is it up to code to have a stairway without any rail?

    I love seeing these kind of houses and love fantasizing about “ahhhhh thats nice I’ll put that in my dream house”. But really what kind of people actually live in these houses. I’m not saying the houses are full of posh rich kids but I’m just curious what kind of a job and lifestyle can support such a beautiful house without inheriting 200year old money.

    [...] A renovação desta casa de quatro andares no centro do Park Slope é um dos primeiros projetos pela Brooklyn Home Company. É um grande exemplo como poderia ser legal a combinação de elementos antigos e modernos no design de interior. O tema principal desta cor interior é uma combinação de madeira branca, natural de diferentes matrizes. Isso funciona muito bem e tudo parece muito acolhedor e habitável. A casa é inundada de luz natural através de janelas de vidro duplo suspenso. O interior também tem coisas bem interessantes, tais como esculturas de Fitzhugh Karol, e trabalho personalizado, como prateleiras e portas de madeira…… Mais [...]
