Hammock, Table And Swing Made Of Old Wine Barrels

Fri, Jun 24, 2011 | Outdoor furniture | By Kate

Do you remember the collection of furniture made of wine barrels? These pieces would be a nice extension of the collection: Barrel Stave Hammock, Wine Barrel Stave Table and Chair, Retired Wine Barrel Swing. One of the best barrel reinventions I’ve seen, this comfortable hammock utilizes the natural curve of the staves to cradle your body. The pieces are smoothed and sanded for blissful afternoon napping, and lacquer-sealed for outdoor protection. One whole California wine barrel supplies approximately 22 staves which are spaced and joined with thick manila rope. It’s handmade work, with spans of rope on each side for hanging from a tree or post. The table, the chair and the swing are also made of the old wine barrels, they would be a nice addition to your garden and would look organic. A nice solution to have a rest in your garden, isn’t it?
