This adorable residence is Lady Peel House by rzlbd, a historical home in Toronto, Canada, birthplace of actress Beatrice Lillie (aka Lady Peel), has its “long, broken, and dark” interior opened up to an airy, modern white (with a touch of exposed brick), while the Victorian exterior remains largely untouched: the facade is kept untouched except for careful window enlargement and brick exposure. There are three floors of naturally lit open-concept space; I like the combination of modern interiors and antique details that remained – they look so sophisticated together. A bedroom with a bathroom inside is a very contemporary idea though wooden beams on the ceiling remind of the house history – that’s the feature of every space – the interweaving of the past and the present – so cool!
