This minimalist modern house is The Caulfield House by Bower Architecture. First the viewer is stricken is the exterior – dark panels, the horizontal line constructed of windows and the major color pallet is black, dark toned wood and white. The courtyard joins differently to each volume, transforming a corridor into an outdoor reading room or adding to the volume of living areas. Natural light, winter sun and passive cross ventilation is bought into and through these areas.
