Black and white is a classical color scheme that is always fashionable and never goes out of style. This two-storey modern residence, called 44 Belvedere by Guido Costantino, is located on a wooded lot in Oakville, Ontario. Outside you’ll see mostly black: stucco, concrete, brick, anodized siding, but it’s slightly diluted with white – opaque and transparent glass. The owners who are a young family wanted an open floorplan, so the L-shaped design allows for rooms to flow into one another. That’s why the designer used not walls to divide the rooms but subtle changes in materials. The rooms are wrapped around a rectangular pool. The interiors are ultra-minimalist, black, grey and white, very comfortable and stylish.
